Elegant hand-blown glass flamingo designed by Jaroslav Brychta (1895–1971), one of the most important figures of Czech art glass and a key artist associated with the glassmaking tradition of Železný Brod Glass Factory.
The sculpture features a beautifully stylised yellow glass body with a long curved neck, complemented by exceptionally delicate clear glass legs, feet and beak. Its graceful proportions and expressive simplicity are characteristic of Brychta’s celebrated animal figures, combining remarkable glassmaking skill with a distinctly modernist aesthetic. Excellent condition.
