Beautiful set of original 1960s dining chairs produced by TON and designed by Oswald Haerdtl.
The chairs retain their original upholstery in a distinctive reddish fabric with black stripes, complemented by blond oak legs. The combination of warm wood and graphic upholstery gives the set a particularly elegant mid-century character.
The chairs remain in good original vintage condition. The upholstery shows age-related wear and some fading, some use wear most noticeably along the edges of the backrests, but remains strong and stable and could certainly be preserved rather than replaced. The wooden frames are solid and sturdy.
A characterful and authentic set with attractive original details and a timeless Central European modernist design.
