A charming set of three vintage glazed ceramic wall plates dating from the 1950s. Two black plates were produced in the renowned pottery region of Pozdišovce, Slovakia, while the central plate originates from Romania. Together they create a striking display of traditional Central European folk art.
Each plate features hand-decorated folk motifs in vibrant colours that contrast beautifully against the dark glazed backgrounds. The original hanging strings are still attached, and one plate retains its original maker's mark on the reverse.
