Beautiful pair of Art Deco bedside tables produced in Czechoslovakia in the 1930s. The tables feature elegant, flowing lines, beautifully figured walnut veneer and a distinctive asymmetrical design typical of the Art Deco period.
Each bedside table combines a curved cabinet with a door, two drawers and an open storage compartment. The rounded edges, sculptural bases and original orange resin handles create a wonderful combination of materials, shapes and colours.
The tables are mirror images of each other, making them an ideal matching pair for either side of a bed.
Both pieces are preserved in original vintage condition, showing signs of age and use. One table has a visible gap along the edge of its curved cabinet door, which does not affect the opening or closing of the door. The other has a burn mark on the top surface. Both imperfections are clearly documented in the photographs.
A beautiful and characterful example of Czechoslovak Art Deco furniture.
